Happy Fourth of July
Hope everyone has a safe 4th of July! We have had several Fire/EMS runs this morning. Nothing major but still hope that the rest of the weekend will be quiet. the boys are in the fields cutting hay now that the rain has stopped. The weatherman states that this area of Michigan will be sunny or partly cloudy but cool. Nice weather to be in the fields.

It has been awhile
Many things have been happening on Empty Pockets Farm. The kids and I have been gathering hay and spraying the crops. We have several more fields to go and hope that the rain will stop so that we can get the reat of the hay in.
I have been working on several projects when I am not in the fields. I have recovered four wooden folding chairs from my mother-in-law. I recovered them in a bright flowered printed oilcloth. Another project that I have been doing is painting my dining room and bathroom. The dining room is being painted a medium green while the bathroom is painted a very pale pink.
I also have been crocheting shawls for my sister Cindy and myself for our trip to Hawaii. Both of us finished our Master's degrees and are treating ourselves to this trip. The shawls are my design in black and silver Glitterspun yarn from the Lion brand yarn.
I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how to do so.
